Rider-Waite Tarot Without the Mystery

If a card scares you, a sentence sounds like a verdict, or you do not know where a manual gets what it says, this book gives you one question and a method: “where does that come from?” Aminata Sogaré teaches you to tell four kinds of claim apart (fact, convention, interpretation and promise) with the Rider-Waite cards in front of you.

Twelve chapters with layouts of four cards, invented cases and twenty-five exercises with answer criteria; eighty-four sentences people say about the tarot, examined one by one; a complete four-position reading without a verdict; and all seventy-eight cards, each with a page on what is seen, what is said and what it does not let you claim. A glossary of forty terms and a plan for the first month.

It does not predict the future or replace any professional: it is a tool for reflection and entertainment. First volume of the Rider-Waite Without the Mystery series.
