Art is a reflection of its time and the art works made by Els Jörg are no exception. The vision of the artist, the way her hands shape, the atmosphere she evokes are not only linked to her own history. Her objects will be recognised by many as part of their own concerns and emotions, their search for meaning, their realisation of the ageless forces below the day-to-day life.  
Nature, the connection of mankind to his land, the myths and tales dealing with the secret of being are at the core of the work of this artist. She tries to visualise what can not be told, only drawn, or shaped. She wonders about the bonds between reality and spirituality, about the connections between the worlds we see and those we carry within.
Els Jörg creates forcefully, but very sensitive. She shapes her own myths and legends, her own fetishes, and offers a shamanistic view. Her art is very personal, and at the same time it is a wonderful expression of a growing awareness shared by others world-wide.
Her objects are strong and elegant, full of stories, evocative and strangely beautiful.
