Everyone starts walking at some point. Some, like me, have a false start and begin a little later. I started at twenty and like to think I am an adult now. I had a childhood split by divorce. Law studies that made me feel miserable. Years of masking as someone I was not. At one point, I was ready to get off the road entirely. 100 Babysteps to My Life is what happened after that. A bit like a TV makeover show only without a montage, and with fun scenes like buying a cat during burnout, making a sandwich, and spending a month depressed at home where I gave my blender a personality and talked to it. Told across a hundred short, illustrated steps, this is a memoir about rock bottom, masking, and slowly figuring out who I actually am. Queer, neurodivergent and finally done pretending otherwise. Some steps are embarrassing. Some are sad and others (I hope) funny. All of them are mine.
