Tim enjoys his first day of the summer holidays in the Groenplaats in Antwerp. He takes pictures with his smartphone and by coincidence he witnesses a murder. This is the start of a series of terrible happenings. The police suggests Tim and his parents to seek refuge in a a safe house. They decide to travel to his uncle and aunt in the book village Hay on Wye in Wales. They run a little bookshop there. But when they arrive there the King of Hay Richard is found dead in his garden. It seems an enormous hound is the culprit. Somebody is inspired by the Sherlock Holmes story The Hound of the Baskervilles and starts a reign of terror over the village . Tim thinks he is safe there but the police informs him that the killer of the Groenplaats has found his hiding place. The summer holidays of an ordinary boy turn into a real nightmare! Ronald Veheyen has been a teacher for 40 years. He lives in Antwerp Belgium He considers Hay on Wye as a second home.
